Late last summer we drove up to Three Creeks Lake on a cold and stormy looking day. You break out of dense forest and then up into the too-big expanses where fires ripped through the Whychus watershed several years back. This meadow was blooming as far as the eye can see around the old fallen trunks of mighty pines and firs. We stopped and walked far out into the midst. Can you feel it?
